■ Video CDN · Primcast

Free video CDN with the channel and player built in.

Primcast has kept broadcasters on air since 2004, and the CDN is the newest piece of that work. Your video leaves from the city closest to each viewer, your encoder connects to the city closest to you, and the free plan carries 1 TB every month.

■ New · Production studio

Fill your channel with programming you made this morning.

A channel needs more than a camera. Production, a tab in your Primcast dashboard, turns a few choices into songs, station jingles, voice-overs, sponsor spots, cover art and music videos, and files each one in your video library, ready for the TV station's playlists or a YouTube stream.

  • You choose, it writes. Pick the format, the mood and the length; the lyrics or the script are written for you and checked against the content rules first.
  • Ready to broadcast. Every file arrives as a 1080p MP4 at broadcast loudness, labelled as AI-generated.
  • Your AI, your bill. Connect your own Google Gemini, ElevenLabs, OpenAI or Stability AI account with its API key. That company charges you directly for what you make.

On every paid plan: Starter, Pro and Platinum.

01

In, across, out.

A stream makes three journeys on the way to a screen. We built a short one for each.

In

To the city nearest your encoder

Point OBS, vMix or your hardware encoder at ingest.video.primcast.com. RTMP works on every plan and SRT from Starter; the name answers with whichever of our cities is closest to you.

Across

On our own links to your channel

From there the stream travels our network to your channel in New York or Bucharest, where your viewer limit, tokens and country rules are checked as they always were.

Out

From the city nearest each viewer

Viewers play from https://play.video.primcast.com/. Every city keeps the video it fetched, so a thousand people watching in one place cost your channel a single copy.

02

5 cities, and who lands where.

The steering looks at where a viewer's or an encoder's network sits and sends it to the nearest healthy city. An answer is remembered for 60 seconds; a city that goes quiet is skipped within 60–120 seconds.

A terabyte, on paper.

Streaming platforms tend to bundle a little bandwidth and bill heavily for the rest. Here is the same unit, one terabyte, priced from each vendor's own page.

WhoHow the figure is reachedOne TB
DacastBandwidth past the plan billed at $0.30 per GB (pricing page read 2026-10-20)$300
CastrPremium: $199.99 a month buys 3 TB (pricing page read 2026-10-20)$66.66
Primcast ProEach TB after the 100 TB the plan includes$4.50
Primcast PlatinumEach TB after the 500 TB the plan includes$4

Competitor figures were read from their public pricing pages on the date shown and may have changed since. Our figure is what a plan charges for each terabyte after the transfer it already includes.

The full comparison.

Live, on demand and delivery are one plan family. Free is live only; the library begins at Starter. The viewer figure is a hard limit set on your channel, so it is exactly what you get.

06

Straight answers.

What does the free video CDN cost?

Nothing per month. There is a $5 setup fee once, and the plan includes 1 TB of transfer each month across all 5 cities. It streams live only; video on demand starts with Starter at $29 a month.

What if a month is busier than my plan?

Every plan prints its price for each terabyte past the allowance, $5 on Free and as little as $4 on Platinum. You can watch the month's transfer in the dashboard as it grows, and on Free you can buy extra terabytes there at $5 each.

Can I switch plans without starting over?

Yes. Going up from Free begins the new plan the same day. Going up between paid plans costs only the difference for the time left in your period, and the renewal date does not move.

What can I connect as an encoder?

Anything that speaks RTMP, which is nearly every software and hardware encoder. Starter and above add SRT for long or unreliable connections, and every channel accepts WebRTC from OBS 30 or a browser.

How big an audience does each plan carry?

1,000 viewers at once on Free and on Starter, 5,000 on Pro and 25,000 on Platinum, per channel. Beyond that we quote Enterprise for your event or service.
